Code of Conduct

Rider’s Pledge

• I will place the physical well-being of my horse/pony ahead of a personal desire to win.
• I will encourage good sportsmanship from fellow riders, trainers, officials, and parents at every lesson/horse show and practice by demonstrating good sportsmanship.
• I will attend every lesson and horseshow that I commit to, and will notify my trainer if I cannot.
• I will expect to receive a fair and equal amount of riding time.
• I will do my very best to listen and learn from my trainers.
• I will treat my trainers, other riders, officials, and fans with respect regardless of their abilities and I will expect to be treated accordingly.
• I deserve to have fun during my riding experience and will alert my parents or trainers if it stops being fun!
• I will encourage my parents to be involved with my team in some capacity because it's important to me.
• I will do my very best in school.
• I will remember that riding is an opportunity to learn and have fun.
• I will take responsibility for my horse/pony and all of my equipment that I have.
• I understand that it is a privilege to own/lease a horse/pony and will be thankful for what I have been given.
